You Are The Thrill Ride

October 25, 2007

Great America announced that they would be installing a Huss Top Spin with added special effects. It turns out they got the Texas Twister from Geauga Lake. The press release noted that the ride would be called Firefall, which I remember to be the name of a musical group. So naturally, I parodied one of their songs!

You Are The Thrill Ride

(with apologies to Firefall...)

You are the thrill ride that I've always dreamed of
Thought you might pack a punch
I took a ride and that's the last I've seen of my lunch

It's not so much the way you look to me
It's not the spray and flame
It's how I feel each time you flip and gyrate
That's never quite the same (whoa!)

You are the thrill ride that I've always dreamed of
Thought you might pack a punch
I took a ride and that's the last I've seen of my lunch

It's not so much the way you flip for me
It's not the noise you make
But it's the shoulder bar and crushing lap bar
That keep me in my place (Whoa!)

You are the thrill ride that I've always dreamed of
Thought you might pack a punch
I took a ride and that's the last I've seen of my lunch

It's hard to tell you how this ride is flippin'
That is just its style
It's got a way to set my stomach churnin'
Every time I ride (Whoa!)

It was the thrill ride that I'va always dreamed of
Thought it might pack a punch
I took a ride and that's the last I've seen of my lunch
I took a ride and that's the last I've seen of my lunch
Of my lunch
Whoa, of my lunch
